Kavanati for accountants: Hebrew ledgers, English codes, no gibberish

Last updated: 19 October 2026 · 4 min read

An accounting office types in two layouts all day: client and supplier names in Hebrew, item codes, SKUs and email addresses in English, usually inside the same ERP or bookkeeping screen. One wrong layout and the search returns nothing, the code is wrong, or an invoice description reads jacubh,. Kavanati fixes it as you type (jacubh, becomes חשבונית, ןמהםןבק becomes invoice), in Excel, Outlook, the browser and the desktop accounting systems, with everything processed on the computer.

The actual pain

Bookkeeping is repetitive typing at volume, and the layout switch is the part that breaks the rhythm. You move from a Hebrew client name to an English item code, press Enter, and the code field holds Hebrew letters. In a lookup that means "not found" and a second try; in a free-text field it means a description nobody can read later. Digits are identical in both layouts, so amounts and invoice numbers are fine, but the letters around them are not, and a bad character in a code can hide for weeks.

What Kavanati does about it

1. It fixes the word as you finish it

When a word is clearly wrong-layout typing, Kavanati deletes it, retypes it in the language you meant and switches the keyboard, so the rest of the line is right. Real words, including English codes and abbreviations that happen to be real in either language, are left alone.

2. Any program that takes typing

Priority, SAP, Hashavshevet-style desktop systems, web-based accounting, Excel, Outlook: it listens at the keyboard rather than inside each program, so it needs no integration. A field that must stay English-only, or a program you want left alone, can be set under Per-app rules in the tray menu.

3. Fast to undo, quiet when you disagree

Ctrl+Z right after a fix restores what you typed, and auto-fix stays quiet until the next sentence. Undo the same word twice and it is protected. Select anything that looks wrong and flip it with Pause or a double Ctrl; the manual fix is free and unlimited.

4. Client data stays on the machine

Detection runs locally. Client names, amounts and invoice details you type are not sent to us or anywhere else. The app only makes the update check and the license check.

For the office manager or the IT provider

What it does not do

It does not connect to your accounting software, read your files or check your numbers. It fixes Hebrew ↔ English typing only, never spelling, and it will not touch a real word. In a remote or virtual desktop session it has to be installed on the side where you type.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work inside our accounting or ERP software?
It works at the keyboard level, so it works in desktop programs and browsers in general without any integration. If a particular field or program should never be touched, set it to a fixed mode, or off, in the per-app rules. On a remote desktop it must be installed where you type.
Could it change a product code or an abbreviation?
It only converts a word that is clearly wrong-layout typing and leaves real words alone. If it does change something it should not, Ctrl+Z reverts it in one press, and after two undos of the same word it is protected for good.
Is client data safe?
Detection runs on the computer and what you type is not sent to us or to any server. The only network calls are the update check and the license check. The security page lists what you can verify yourself.
What does it cost for an office?
Business is from ₪25 per computer per month, billed yearly, cheaper at volume, with one key for all the computers and a free 30-day pilot for organizations. An individual can use it free every day (15 automatic fixes a day after a 7-day trial) or pay a one-time ₪149 for Pro.
