Kavanati — Terms of Use
Last updated: 20 October 2026
By installing or using Kavanati ("the app") you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use it.
1. What Kavanati is
A desktop utility (Windows + macOS) that corrects text typed in the wrong keyboard language (Hebrew ↔ English), offered with a free plan and paid licences (section 10).
2. Licence
A personal, non-exclusive, worldwide, revocable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, within the plan you use (section 10). You may not sell, rent, sublicense, redistribute, or misrepresent the app as your own.
3. Software in active development
The app is under active development; it may contain bugs, may change, may occasionally mis-correct text, and may be discontinued. You are responsible for reviewing important text before you send or submit it.
4. Provided "AS IS"
The app is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data/text/profits/business. Where liability cannot be excluded, total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim (zero on the free plan).
6. Acceptable use
No unlawful use; no intercepting or misusing others' data; no reverse engineering except where that restriction is legally prohibited; do not remove notices.
7. System permissions
macOS requires Accessibility + Input Monitoring permissions; on Windows the app observes keyboard input. You can revoke these in your OS settings at any time.
8. Privacy
Use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
9. Intellectual property
The app, the name "Kavanati" (כוונתי), the logo, and all content are owned by Engineering & Development Services (שירותי הנדסה ופיתוח, business no. 056665227) and are protected by copyright and trademark law.
10. Plans, paid licences and the founders' discount
- Free plan. New installations get 7 days of unlimited use. After that, the free plan includes a daily limit on automatic fixes (currently 15 a day); manual fixes stay unlimited. We may change the free plan's limits from time to time.
- Pro (lifetime). A one-time purchase, with no subscription and no renewal. It is a personal licence for one person, for use on up to 3 of that person's own computers, with unlimited automatic fixes and the Pro features described on the pricing page. It includes the updates of Kavanati for as long as the product is offered. It does not include any other service, and it does not oblige us to keep offering or supporting the product indefinitely.
- Who may buy Pro. Pro is bought by a person with their own money for their own computers. If an organization pays for it or reimburses it, or the computers belong to an organization, the organization needs a Business licence. A Pro licence may not be bought in bulk for employees or customers, and may not be deployed centrally to an organization's computers.
- Business. A yearly licence for an organization, priced per computer per year with volume pricing (5–19 computers, 20–99, 100–499, 500–1,000; more than 1,000 by quote). All computers are billed at the tier of the total number purchased, and one licence key covers the number of computers purchased. Business renews yearly until cancelled; while it stays active the price per computer does not change.
- Founders' discount. Anyone who installed Kavanati before version 1.11 is eligible for 30% off the Pro lifetime purchase. It is applied automatically when Pro is bought from the app's Plan menu.
- Purchases. Paid licences are sold through Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record; Paddle's checkout terms apply to the purchase, and prices, currency and taxes are shown before you pay. Business purchases can also be invoiced directly by Engineering & Development Services on request. Business subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Refunds follow our refund policy.
11. Termination
You may uninstall at any time; we may change or end the free plan, or these terms, at any time. Paid licences continue until the end of the period you paid for. Sections 4, 5 and 9 survive termination.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and Israeli courts have exclusive jurisdiction. Mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence are unaffected.
13. Changes
The current version of these terms is always on this page, with the "Last updated" date above.
