Kavanati for schools and municipalities: one key, every computer, no gibberish

Last updated: 19 October 2026 · 4 min read

Teachers switch between Hebrew and English in the same lesson plan, English teachers do it every other word, and office staff type resident and pupil names, forms and email in both. On shared classroom and office computers the keyboard is always left in somebody else's language. Kavanati fixes the result as you type (ahgurh ch, becomes שיעורי בית, יםצק'םרל becomes homework), and IT can roll out one organization key to every computer without touching each one.

The actual pain

A shared computer remembers the last person's layout, not yours. A teacher sits down, opens the class email, and the greeting comes out as akuo. An English teacher preparing a worksheet types a vocabulary list and half the words arrive in Hebrew letters, because the Hebrew sentence before them set the layout. In the municipal office the same thing happens in forms, resident search and email, where a name typed in the wrong layout simply is not found.

What Kavanati does about it

1. It fixes the word as you finish it

When a word is clearly wrong-layout typing, Kavanati deletes it, retypes it in the language you meant and switches the keyboard, so the rest of the sentence is right. For an English teacher mixing languages, real English words inside Hebrew text are left alone, and real Hebrew words inside English text too.

2. It works in every program

Word, Google Docs in the browser, the school management system, the municipal systems, email: it listens at the keyboard, so there is nothing to integrate. Programs that should not be touched can be set to a fixed mode or off in Per-app rules.

3. Easy for non-technical staff

Nothing to learn: it runs in the tray. If a fix is unwanted, Ctrl+Z right after it puts back what was typed. Something wrong that was not fixed? Select it and press Pause or a double Ctrl to flip it, free and unlimited.

4. Pupil and resident data stays local

Detection runs on the computer. Names, grades and case details you type are not sent to us or to anyone. The app only makes the update check and the license check.

For IT, the school network or the municipality

What it does not do

It does not monitor students or staff, read screens or keep a log of what is typed. It fixes Hebrew ↔ English typing only and does not check spelling. Hebrew ↔ English is its only language pair. On remote or virtual desktops it must be installed on the side where people type.

Frequently asked questions

Can IT install it on all computers without visiting each one?
Yes. The organization key is set by registry policy, a license file or an MDM profile, and each computer activates silently. Registry policy can be pushed with Group Policy or Intune. The deployment guide has the details.
Does it work on shared computers with several users?
Yes. It is installed on the computer, and the key is organization-wide, so nobody signs in to use it. Each person who sits down gets the fix as they type, whatever layout the last person left.
Is pupil or resident information sent anywhere?
No. Detection runs on the computer and typed text is not sent to us or to any server. The only network calls are the update check and the license check. The security page describes what can be verified.
What does it cost for a school or an authority?
Business is from ₪25 per computer per month, billed yearly, cheaper at volume, one key for all the computers, with a free 30-day pilot for organizations. An individual teacher can use it free every day (15 automatic fixes a day after a 7-day trial) or pay a one-time ₪149 for Pro.
